Des Plaines Fire Department EmblemThe Des Plaines Fire Department is committed to providing for the emergency medical care needs of our community by ensuring that we have highly trained, competent personnel, utilizing the latest technology while maintaining a high degree of compassion.

All residents and non-residents are charged ambulance fees, which are determined by the average cost of a patient's assessment and treatment.

There is also a lift-assist fee that can occur when the Fire Department responds and provides assistance with moving an individual who does not need ambulance transportation services related to illness or injury.
